I'm home for the day. It's the first of 5 days off from the job.<br /><br />I'm settling in to watch the NASCAR race at Homestead, FL. Earlier in the day I was doing some dishes and decided to throw in a CD I had just picked up. The idea for this blog came to me as I was jamming.<br /><br />I have a pretty decent sized collection of over 600 CD's and it's all Heavy Metal! I intend to review every one of them here on this blog. I want to help turn you onto some good tunes. I'll let you know how much I like the album and what tunes I like best. If you find that you like a lot of the same stuff I do, and you come across something here you haven't heard before that I am liking, it's a good bet that you will like it too! I hope to share the very best Heavy Metal Music with you. </span><br /><br />What are some of my favorite metal bands?<br /><br /><strong>Iced Earth</strong> - I like their earlier stuff better. I am glad that Barlow is back!<br /><br /><strong>Manowar</strong> - Fantasy and War. There are no better settings for Heavy Metal tunes.<br /><br /><strong>Judas Priest</strong> - Many great tunes throughout a long career!<br /><br /><strong>Gamma Ray</strong> - Awesome Power Metal!<br /><br /><strong>Slayer</strong> - Back when they were Thrash Metal.<br /><br /><strong>Metallica</strong> - Black and back!<br /><br />There are hundreds of great metal bands. Your input is welcome. If you love a certain tune from a CD I have reviewed, I want to know about it. Let other Metalheads know and help them to find great tunes to add to their collection.
